Each member has at least a decade of experience (if not more), and they all have one goal that they strive for every day: to give our patients the smoothest, easiest, and most stress-free dental experience possible. Barb, Dental Hygienist
Barb joined Knutzen Family Dentistry in 2003. She received her degree from USD. She enjoys getting to know patients and helping them with their dental needs.
She lives in Brookings with her husband and three kids. .
Nicole, Dental Hygienist
Nicole joined the Knutzen Family Dentistry team in 2021 and has 27 years of experience as a hygienist. She graduated from NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND and is also certified in local anesthesia. What she enjoys most about her career is building relationships with patients and making them feel comfortable in the dental office.
Nicole is originally from Rutland, ND but has called Brookings home since moving here after graduating from college. She and her husband Randy enjoy spending time at the river fishing for walleye. She also enjoys spending time with family, reading, and spoiling her dog, Ruby.
Madison, Dental Hygienist
Madison joined the Knutzen Family Dentistry team in 2022, and she has four years of experience in dentistry. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene from the University of South Dakota. She loves educating her patients on the importance of oral health and making them feel comfortable in the dental chair.
Madison and her husband, Carter are from Brookings, SD and they have one daughter named Shiloh. Outside of the office she enjoys spending time chasing around her very busy toddler.
Kim, Dental Hygienist
Kim joined the Knutzen Family Dentistry team in 2017 and has 16 years of experience as a dental hygienist. Kim earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from USD. The best part about her job is building strong relationships with her patients and she loves helping them achieve a healthy and beautiful smile.
Kim grew up in Wakonda, SD. She and her husband Tyler moved to Brookings in 2017. They have three very active children and spend their nights and weekends cheering on their kiddos in all of their sporting activities. Kim enjoys early morning workouts at her gym, walking and biking.
Morgan, Dental Hygienist
Morgan joined the Knutzen Family Dentistry team in 2018. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene from the University of South Dakota. When not working, she loves to spend time running and golfing with her husband, Cody and daughter, Layla. What she enjoys most about working at Knutzen Family Dentistry is growing relationships with her patients and seeing lots of familiar faces come in and out of the office.
Kay, Dental Assistant
Kay has been a part of our oral healthcare team for over 30 years now. She attended Golden Valley Lutheran College before pursuing her dental education at the Minnesota Institute of Dental Assisting. She also has her Expanded Functions certificate and has undergone advanced training in CPR, nitrous oxide, radiology, CEREC, dental implants. She loves working together with such a great team to help patients in difficult situations.
Kay originally hails from Salol, MN and is married with two children and five grandchildren. Her hobbies include spending time with her family and reading.
Brittany, Dental Assistant
Brittany is originally from Alpena, SD and graduated from Lake Area Tech in 2005. She has been in a dental assistant for 20 years. Brittany lives in Brookings with her husband Mitch and they have two girls, Sloan and Payton. They stay busy running their girls to basketball and softball.
Marah, Dental Assistant
Marah has been a dental assistant for 5 years and joined Knutzen Family Dentistry in 2021. After graduating from Brookings High School, she attended Lare Area Technical Institute.
She enjoys working with new and familiar faces in the Brookings community. Her and her husband Riley stay busy with DIY house projects.
Shelly, Dental Assistant
Shelly is a dental assistant and also an office assistant. She graduated from Lake Area Technical Institute in 2001 and has been in the dental field for 20 + years.
She is originally from Madison, MN. She and her husband Darin have one son and enjoy camping and spending time with family and friends.
Lindsey, Dental Assistant
Lindsey is originally from Hoven, SD and graduated from Lake Area Technical Institute in 2004. She assisted in oral surgery for 10 years and then transitioned into general dentistry.
Lindsey is married to Dustin and they have two children.
Angela, Receptionist
Angela joined the Knutzen Family Dentistry team in 1994. She enjoys working with and building relationships with patients.
In her spare time, Angela enjoys spending time with her husband, kids, and grandchildren. She also enjoys outdoor activities.
Lori, Receptionist/Scheduler
Lori has been working in the dental field for an impressive 46 years and counting. She attended Dakota State College. Her favorite part is getting to meet so many new people and seeing lots of familiar faces! She loves chatting with patients.
Lori grew up on a farm and attended Rutland School. Her interests include SDSU football, walking, family time and meeting up with friends.
